How to Take An Effective Mental Health Day

What would it be like to plan your own one-day vacation? Would you spend it inside or outside? With friends or alone?
I love to imagine this day with my clients! Usually as we start to talk about it, they don’t know what they would do. It feels so foreign to plan a day that they would enjoy, not just one to check out (i.e. get lost in a phone) or a day to get necessary things done. As I help my clients explore what makes them come alive as individuals, it gives us lots of ideas for how they could plan a day that would bring refreshment and revitalization.
So what would you do? What are the things that make you feel alive, connected to yourself and God and others? What would give you a soul reboot?
